The Foundation

Born from two lives, two lessons

The Julie & Felix Foundation for Elder Dignity was born from the lessons of two lives — my mother, Julie, and my father, Felix — whose stories shaped how I understand aging, loss, and the sacred duty of care.

When my mother's sudden cancer diagnosis forced me to navigate hospice care, I discovered a painful truth: the system often forgets the people who make it all possible — the caregivers. I saw families collapsing under the emotional and financial strain of doing the most human work imaginable.

And years earlier, my father's death at 58 from diabetes and obesity revealed how easily preventable illnesses can shorten lives when awareness and resources are out of reach.

Together, their stories remind us that aging well means not only caring for elders, but sustaining those who care for them.

1

End-of-Life Dignity & Hospice Support

We connect families with trusted hospice programs and help provide essential comfort items, supplies, and resources that bring peace and presence to the final chapter of life.

2

Companionship & Connection

We support elders through community initiatives that ease isolation and remind them they are not forgotten

3

Caregiver Support & Renewal

Caregivers are the unseen backbone of end-of-life care. We offer them emotional support, educational resources, and practical assistance — because love should not lead to burnout, but to resilience.

4

Health Education & Prevention

In memory of Felix, we promote awareness around diabetes, obesity, and heart disease, empowering families to make informed, sustainable lifestyle choices that protect future generations.

The Foundation is fully incorporated and in the process of obtaining 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. During this phase, all donations are directed toward mission-based activities, and once approval is complete, contributions will become tax-deductible.
